The attendants of the meeting discussed trade and economic cooperation between the two countries. Taras Chornovil, Committee Vice-Chairman, believes that "Ukraine should devote more attention to the cooperation with Asian countries". T.Chornovil underscored that Korean social principle - "Political stability, patriotism and honesty of public officials is a pledge of country´s prosperity" - could be useful for Ukraine.
In the course of the meeting, Moon Hee Sang, Vice-Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea, stated that further high-level cooperation between the States "should be accompanied by attention of high-ranking public officials to the prospects of innovation, scientific, technical and cultural exchange".
The Parties resolved to promote further integration of ethnic communities. Thus, due to the official data, Korean community in Ukraine numbers 30 thousand persons.
The Committee members highly appreciated anti-cancer medical research conducted by Korean scientists jointly with their colleagues in Singapore and Taiwan. Moreover, they stated that cooperation in the said field constituted theoretical and practical interest for Ukrainian physicians.
The Parties expressed their hopes for further extended cooperation at the inter-parliamentary level.
